US Bitcoin ETFs lose $485 million as October inflows reverse
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $484.9 million in net outflows Wednesday, reversing Tuesday’s $118.8 million inflow. The withdrawal marked the largest daily exit since June 25, when the funds lost $691.7 million.
The selling erased the $321.6 million collected during October’s first four trading sessions. Bitcoin ETFs now show about $163 million in net outflows for the month. BlackRock’s IBIT led withdrawals at $207.7 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $105.1 million and ARKB at $101.7 million. Bitcoin traded near $82,700 Thursday, down about 2% over 24 hours.
Meanwhile, U.S. spot Ether ETFs lost $160.9 million, extending their outflow streak to seven sessions. Ether funds have shed about $569 million since Sept. 29, with BlackRock’s ETHA accounting for $116.1 million of Wednesday’s withdrawals.
Why it matters
ETF redemptions signal weaker institutional demand and add pressure to crypto prices. Continued outflows could keep Bitcoin and Ether markets volatile.
