Privacy policy
KryptoFeed is built to be read without an account. This page explains what information the site handles, where it is kept and how to reach us about it.
What we do not collect
- No sign-up, login or profile is needed to read KryptoFeed, so we do not hold reader accounts, names or passwords.
- The site has no comments and no newsletter form, so we do not collect email addresses unless you write to us.
- We do not sell, rent or share reader data with anyone.
Information kept on your device
Some features remember things for you. They use your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
- Saved stories: the stories you bookmark, plus a cached copy for offline reading.
- Continue reading: the last story you were reading and how far you got.
- Preferences: your light or dark mode choice.
- View de-duplication: which stories you have already opened today, so a refresh is not counted twice.
You can clear all of this at any time using the “Clear all” button on the Saved page or by clearing site data in your browser.
View counts
When you open a story, your browser sends a signal that adds one to that story’s view count. The signal contains only the story identifier. We do not record your IP address, device or browser with it, and the counts cannot be traced back to a person.
Cookies
Reading the site sets no cookies. Cookies are only used by WordPress for our own staff when they log in to publish stories.
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently run third-party analytics, advertising networks or tracking pixels. If that changes, we will name the provider on this page and tell you what it collects before it goes live.
Server logs and security
- Like every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses and the pages requested. They are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted on the provider’s normal schedule.
- To protect the site from break-in attempts, failed staff logins are recorded with the IP address and the username tried. Only site administrators can see these records, and only the most recent attempts are kept.
When you email us
If you write to [email protected] we keep your message and address for as long as needed to reply and follow up. We do not add you to any list. Ask us at any time to delete the correspondence.
Links to other sites
Stories link to their sources and sometimes to other sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Children
KryptoFeed is a general news site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Your choices and rights
Because we hold almost nothing about readers, most choices are in your hands: clear your saved stories and preferences from your browser, and use the site without any account. If you believe we hold information about you, for example from an email exchange, contact us and we will confirm what we have and delete it on request.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The date shown on the page is the date of the last revision.
