XRP Rallies 7.7% Ahead of Crucial CLARITY Act Senate Vote

XRP jumped 7.7% to about $1.46 on Monday as traders positioned ahead of Tuesday’s Senate vote on the CLARITY Act. The token reached roughly $1.47 on Coinbase, leading major cryptocurrencies during the session. The rally then cooled near that level, leaving XRP below the $1.50 mark as the vote approached.

The Senate is scheduled to vote at 2:15 p.m. ET on whether to advance the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act. The procedural vote requires 60 senators, meaning Republicans need support from at least seven Democrats or independents if all 53 Republicans vote yes. A revised draft includes 126 substantive changes requested by Democrats, including tighter ethics rules and greater enforcement authority for state attorneys general.

However, the vote would not pass the bill. It would clear the way for Senate consideration, while lawmakers still face a narrow legislative window before the midterm elections. The outcome could therefore drive further volatility across XRP and other crypto assets.

Why it matters

A successful vote could reduce regulatory uncertainty and strengthen crypto sentiment, while failure could pressure XRP after its sharp rally.
