The purchase brings Strategy’s total Bitcoin investment to about $63.95 billion, with an average cost of $75,437 per BTC. The latest acquisition also pushed its holdings above the previous reported peak. Strategy funded the purchase partly through sales of 1.47 million MSTR shares, which generated $246.2 million in net proceeds.
Meanwhile, the company repurchased 1.53 million STRC preferred shares for about $151.7 million. Strategy said it had $5.02 billion in its USD Reserve and $1 billion in USD Cash as of Sept. 27. The latest buying marks the second consecutive week of Bitcoin accumulation after a summer period that included several disposals.
