Samsung to Launch USDC Transfers on Solana for U.S. Galaxy Users

Samsung will let eligible U.S. Galaxy users transfer USDC across borders through Samsung Wallet starting in the last week of October. The feature will support transfers to compatible external wallets and will include fiat on- and off-ramps.

Samsung said the service will use Solana and Sui infrastructure behind the scenes, while U.S.-licensed stablecoin custodian Bastion will provide the underlying framework. Users will not need a separate crypto application, making stablecoin transfers part of Samsung’s existing mobile payments ecosystem.

The move follows Samsung’s broader push to integrate digital assets into its smartphone and wallet products. The company has previously highlighted stablecoins as a way to expand digital payments across its large Galaxy device base. Meanwhile, other consumer platforms, including Cash App, have also expanded USDC transfers across multiple blockchains this year.

Why it matters

Samsung's integration could make stablecoin transfers more accessible to mainstream smartphone users. It also strengthens Solana's position in consumer payments and cross-border transfers.
