Citi Raises 12-Month Bitcoin Target to $113,000 on Renewed ETF Flows
Citigroup raised its 12-month Bitcoin target to $113,000 from $82,000 on Thursday, citing stronger crypto activity and renewed ETF inflows. The bank also lifted its 12-month Ether forecast to $3,028 from $2,240.
Citi expects cryptocurrency investment products to attract about $5 billion over the next year. The bank sees advisers and brokerages gradually increasing Bitcoin allocations, supporting renewed demand. Favorable macroeconomic conditions also contributed to the revised outlook.
The forecast follows a period of weaker institutional demand earlier this year, when Bitcoin ETFs recorded substantial outflows. Recent inflows have improved the market backdrop, although Citi’s targets remain forecasts rather than guaranteed price outcomes.
Why it matters
Renewed ETF demand could provide an important source of Bitcoin buying pressure. Investors will watch whether inflows persist enough to support the forecast.
