Grayscale adds LINK as Bitwise advances Chainlink ETF strategy

Chainlink’s institutional exposure expanded this week as Grayscale added LINK and Bitwise advanced its ETF plans. LINK reached $15.80, its 2026 high, before retreating to about $14.43 on September 30. Grayscale’s latest reported purchase added 159,480 LINK, worth nearly $2.36 million, extending its September accumulation.

Meanwhile, Bitwise filed a new SEC prospectus for its Chainlink ETF. The filing outlines a strategy that could allocate 20% of the fund’s LINK holdings to staking. Bitwise’s existing Chainlink ETF, CLNK, launched on NYSE Arca in January and held about $66.4 million in assets as of September 27.

Chainlink also gained institutional-use momentum through Bottomline’s Global Pay Connect. The platform connects more than 600 banks to blockchain payment infrastructure using Chainlink technology, while Bottomline processes more than $16 trillion in annual payments. LINK’s next technical focus remains the $15.80 level, while $13.75 has emerged as nearby support in the latest market analysis.

Why it matters

ETF demand and banking integrations are expanding Chainlink's institutional footprint. LINK's ability to hold above recent support will remain important for market participants tracking the recovery.
