Fin.com raises $20M to build stablecoin payment infrastructure globally
Fin.com raised $20 million in seed funding that closed in August, marking its emergence from stealth. Expa and Uber co-fo under Garrett Camp led the round, with Coinbase Ventures and other investors participating. The New York-based startup plans to expand stablecoin payment infrastructure across South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The company provides white-label payment infrastructure for businesses moving money across borders. Its platform connects stablecoin settlement with local bank accounts, wallets and payment networks. Fin.com says it supports more than 40 currencies and payouts across more than 30 countries, including routes using UPI and other local rails. The company also supports USDC and USDT for stablecoin settlement.
Fin.com says its customers collectively serve more than 800 million users, although it has not disclosed those clients publicly. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its payment network and infrastructure in its target markets. The funding comes as stablecoin adoption grows and financial firms seek faster alternatives for cross-border payments.
Why it matters
The funding highlights growing investor demand for stablecoin infrastructure that connects digital assets with local payment systems. Expansion into emerging markets could increase stablecoin use for cross-border money movement.
