Coinbase Pro to Return by Year-End as Deribit Integration Goes Live

Coinbase

Coinbase plans to relaunch Coinbase Pro by year-end after completing its Deribit integration. The combined platform now operates as Coinbase Global Exchange, expanding access to spot, futures, perpetuals, options and other markets.

The integration consolidated Coinbase International Exchange with Deribit on Oct. 1. Coinbase says the move creates deeper liquidity and faster execution through Deribit’s matching engine. The company also plans to roll out options, spot margin and unified portfolios in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Coinbase Pro will return with redesigned infrastructure aimed at high-volume active traders. The platform will offer advanced trading tools across supported markets, while Coinbase Advanced will continue serving existing users. U.S. institutional clients will gain access to Deribit-powered options and perpetual futures through Coinbase Prime, subject to eligibility.

Why it matters

The expansion strengthens Coinbase's position across global crypto derivatives and advanced trading. It also gives eligible U.S. institutions broader regulated access to crypto options and perpetual futures.
