Bank7 to acquire Century Financial Services in $137.3 million deal
Bank7 Corp. agreed to acquire Century Financial Services Corporation for about $137.3 million in a cash-and-stock transaction. The deal, announced September 17, would give Bank7 full ownership of Century and expand its banking footprint into New Mexico. Century shareholders would receive $70 million in cash and 1,232,657 Bank7 shares.
The transaction would create a Southwest banking organization with about $3.3 billion in total assets. Century Bank, founded in 1887, operates eight New Mexico branches and two loan-production offices in Texas. As of June 30, Century reported $1.36 billion in assets, $1.23 billion in deposits and $845 million in gross loans. Bank7 plans to retain the Century Bank name and brand.
The merger remains subject to Century shareholder approval, banking regulatory clearances and court approvals tied to a receivership proceeding. Bank7 expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company previously won a bid for a 71% controlling stake and retains that agreement if the full-company merger does not proceed.
Why it matters
The transaction expands Bank7's regional banking footprint and adds Century's established deposit base. Investors will watch regulatory approvals and integration progress before the deal closes.
