AMD Analysts Keep Raising Targets as AI Infrastructure Demand Grows

Bank of America raised its AMD price target to $720 from $620 on Sept. 25. Wells Fargo reiterated its $700 target on Sept. 28, keeping attention on Advanced Micro Devices as AI infrastructure demand expands.

Bank of America analyst Vivek Arya cited growing demand for server CPUs in AI workloads. The firm estimates the server CPU market could expand from $61 billion in 2026 to $211 billion by 2030. Wells Fargo analyst Joseph Quatrochi also maintained a Buy rating and a $700 target. AMD recently surpassed a $1 trillion market capitalization milestone.

Meanwhile, AMD announced a $8.2 billion all-stock acquisition of AI startup World Labs on Sept. 28. The deal aims to strengthen AMD’s capabilities in physical AI, spatial intelligence, and AI software. Investors will continue watching AMD’s data-center growth, AI product adoption, and execution as analysts update their estimates.

Why it matters

Higher analyst targets reflect continued expectations for AMD's AI and data-center businesses. However, price targets remain estimates and can change as earnings, valuation, and industry conditions evolve.
